Micro Soldering
Micro solder, by the definition, is the act of soldering components so small that they can only be seen through a microscope. These small components usually consist of resistors, capacitors, inductors, connectors, microchips, etc. Because of the amount of precision these repairs require, we do not guarantee/quote same day repair times. So, how much does micro soldering repairs cost and how long will it take? Well, it’s not always an easy answer. Depending on what needs to be done, price and time quotes vary. Touch IC
Touch IC, commonly known as “touch disease”, is a chip near the top of the phone that goes out controlling the touch of the screen. This a widely known issue with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+ which, unfortunately, is not covered by Apple anymore.

Tri-Star IC
This is a chip on the board that controls how much power is being distributed to the battery while plugged into the charger. Whenever this chip goes out, and the phone runs out of power, the phone will not turn on anymore. This issue is usually not a customer’s fault, but it can be summoned because of aftermarket charger usage.

No Service IC
If you notice your phone saying “searching” or “no service” then this could very well be no service ic. This chip essentially controls the service you receive on your device and once it starts to go out, it may intermittently work for a bit or completely stop receiving service. iPhone 7 and above only have a 50% chance of being fixed due to there being two separate chips on the board; one is fixable and the other is not.

Backlight
The backlight is essentially a lightbulb for the screen and when it goes out, the screen is almost completely black. The phone will still be on and functionable, but it’s close to impossible to see the display. This can be caused from a drop or over time on its own.
